Cool Kids of Bishop

CKOB ( Cool Kids of Bishop, as named by our members ) is the Youth Club of Cropwell Bishop. It is available to members only, although they are allowed to bring a guest if they wish.
View our events calendar for our club night dates.

Originally founded in 2010 it now has a membership of over 120 and regularly has an attendance of over 50 on a club night. It runs on alternate Fridays and activities available are:

  • Wii, Xbox
  • Two full size table tennis tables
  • Table football
  • Pool table
  • Flat screen TV in our upstairs chilling out room with leather bean bags
  • Craft table
  • Various board games

Outside we have an enclosed area where we can play on pogo sticks, scooters, full size volleyball set, basketball and mini football. There is a well stocked tuck shop which also often serves hot food, usually burgers or hot dogs which are generously donated by our local butcher, Gary Jowett of Barlows butchers.

The club is run by a team of volunteers, all of which are CRB checked and the majority of whom have also undertaken a course in safeguarding children delivered by Notts County Council. We are also presently assisted by two local teenagers who are volunteering as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
