Village Litter Pick Saturday 24th May

To get us ready for our best kept village competition, there is a village litter pick on May 24th. We will start at 9am at The Old School and gloves, pickers etc will be provided. Please could as many ckob members/families please come along and do our bit for our super village. Thanks very much.

Village Celebration Weekend



Cropwell Bishop Celebration Weekend

 

The 11th annual Cropwell Bishop Celebration weekend takes place from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July.  Please come and join our celebrations everyone welcome.

 

Friday 4th July - 7:30pm

The weekend commences at St Giles Church with a 'SHOWSTOPPERS’ concert. Adult tickets cost £6 and children £1 from The Cabin, Church Street, Cropwell Bishop or on the gate.

 

Saturday 5th July - 10.00-1.00pm

Methodist Chapel, Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop:

Art Exhibition in the hall and Plant Stall in the gardens

A Celebration Coffee Mingle

 

11.00-1.45pm

The Old School, Fern Road, Cropwell Bishop:

Cropwell Bishop Youth Club

Family Fun for All including Inflatable Fun, Arts & Crafts, Light Refreshments and more.  Free Admission

 

1.50pm

Cropwell Bishop Primary School Marching Band from Chequers Car Park, with Carnival King and Queen

 

2:00-4:30pm

Cropwell Bishop Primary School:

Friends of the School, Fete and Gala with WW! Commemoration. Free admission

 

 

6:00-11.00pm

Picnic in the Park at the Memorial Park – A Music and Firework Spectacular. Tickets £5 from The Cabin, Church Street, Cropwell Bishop or Janice Towndrow Parish Clerk on 0115 9894656

Tickets will be available on the gate on the night.

 

Sunday 6th July

 

12.00pm

St Giles Church - Teddy bear parachute jump from the top of the Church bell tower. £2 per jump includes certificate and soft drink

Prizes for furthest jump, best-dressed teddy and most imaginative parachute

 

11.00am – 3.00pm

St. Giles Church – Memories of Our Church, All Welcome Refreshments Available.

 

4.00pm

The weekend concludes with an open-air service in the Diamond Jubilee Garden.
